What is included in a Sky Portraits modeling/acting portfolio shoot?

Our standard portfolio sessions are crafted for aspiring models, actors, and influencers who are serious about creating agency ready work. Your session runs for 120 minutes and includes up to 3 outfit changes, multiple backgrounds and lighting setups, and professional guidance with posing and direction throughout to ensure you look confident and natural in every frame. A professional makeup artist is available at an additional fee. Around one week after your shoot, you will return to the studio for a cinematic big screen viewing session where you will see your images for the first time and personally select your favourite photographs.

How much is the booking deposit?

Your session deposit is $99. This secures your date in our calendar. Once you're booked in, we'll send you everything you need to prepare so you get the most out of your shoot.

Do I have to purchase images?

There is absolutely no obligation to purchase anything if you do not want to. However, in the likely event you fall in love with your images, we have different packages for different budgets, and we also provide payment plans to make bigger purchases easier for you to access.

Is hair and makeup included?

Yes it is if you would like it. Please note there is a fee of $150 for this service. However, it is not necessary to have this done professionally as agencies prefer a natural look.

How much does it cost?

Our packages start at $780 for 3 hi-resolution digitals. The next package is $1,375 for 6 images. Most clients end up choosing more once they see their photos, and the good news is the more you buy, the less each image costs.

What payment options do you offer?

We make booking easy with flexible payments: credit card, bank transfer, and payment plans/split payments are available on packages.

How many images will I receive?

The number of images you receive comes down to one simple thing, how many you fall in love with. During your cinematic big screen viewing session, you will choose the photographs that truly capture you at your best, and you are free to select as many as you desire. The more images you choose, the more value you unlock, with the price per image becoming increasingly attractive as your collection grows.

Do I need to bring my own outfits or makeup?

We recommend bringing 3 outfits that showcase your range (e.g., commercial casual, editorial/fashion, beauty/close-up looks). Neutral colors and fitted styles work best to highlight you. Makeup and hair are not included by default, but we can arrange a professional MUA/HMU for an additional fee — just let us know when booking.

How should I prepare for my shoot?

After booking, you will receive a style guide to help you prepare for your shoot. Bring your outfits steamed/hanging, plus any specific references (e.g., poses, moods, or inspo images). We'll guide you on posing, expressions, and angles to get the most natural, confident shots that agencies are looking for.

Can I do family, newborn, baby, couple, or other types of shoots with Sky Portraits?

Do you provide posing guidance and direction?

Absolutely — our photographers specialize in directing first-time and experienced talent. We'll pose you, suggest expressions, and help you feel relaxed and confident to capture your best angles and personality.

Is the studio easy to access?

Yes! Our Sydney studio is centrally located in St Leonards, and has a comfortable, private space with amenities to make your session stress-free.

How do I book a session?

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments are processed securely through BPoint, our trusted payment provider. Your card details are encrypted using bank-grade SSL security and are never stored on our systems. Every transaction is fully protected end-to-end.

Can I reschedule my session?

Absolutely. Life happens, and we completely understand. Simply contact us at least 72 hours before your session and we will happily move your booking to a new date at no charge. We want you to feel completely relaxed and ready when you come in.

What is included in my session?

Your session includes a professionally guided shoot with one of our experienced photographers, full use of our studio, expert styling guidance, and all the inclusions listed in your chosen package. Full details are included in your booking confirmation email.

What happens after I book?

You will receive a booking confirmation email straight away with all your session details, plus our Style Guide to help you prepare and feel your best. Our team will give you a call within 24 hours to answer any questions, put you at ease, and get you excited for your session. You will also receive a payment receipt email for your records.
